Rooting to hear your reflections when you get comfortable in this new phase.

Ani, these reflections help us all women aging! We are not longer in the same stage but entering a new dimension where is difficult to even understand who we are. Gracias preciosa! You put it in wonderful words.

A fellow golden girl friend and I were discussing ageing in these times. We both don’t feel like that visual of what our age looks when we were growing up - The Golden Girls with the coloured short perm, and general auntie vibes isn’t us. But we talk about wrinkles and supplements (begrudgingly) and how new types of pain just start to appear. I just feel lucky I took up more strength training a long time ago and therefore don’t have the physical struggles my mom thinks I have at this age 😁.

strength training is key! and retinol! and protein! and creatine! and . . . and . . and. .haha! We are lucky that fashion and hair trends are much kinder, and that new supplements and skin care products keep cropping up. Keep at it with strength training! I wish i started much sooner.

Im reminded of that quote attributed Libby Zucker among others “Aging isn’t a curse, it is a privilege denied to many”. How well you embrace this truism in your writings is a joy to read. Keep your pen to paper, lovely writing as always.

Thank you, Pitpat. We both intimately know of this privilege. Sometimes, though, we tend to forget. Thank you for the reminder.

Ani, by any chance, did you tele-transport yourself inside my brain, and, thought aha! kindred spirits on the realities of ageing! Only you could have written about it so non-chalantly with such grace! Gracias!
